Month: October 2008

  • Ha ha Snow be gone!

Yes! Hopefully the snow stays away a little longer.

  • Neverending

Man it's still snowing. It snowed since yesterday. Brrr. I love snow, but it's going to get in my way, so I don't like it if it gets in my way Monday!

  • There was a pretty decent NBA game

Cleveland vs. Boston. The better team won, but Cleveland could have won the game. James needs to improve his shooting percentage especially with all the shots he took that game.

  • YAAAAAAAARG!

It's snowing already here in the North country. This is so BS. It should be snowing next month. NEXT MONTH! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Thanks for reading. I still don't feel any better about the bad timing. Oh well whats a guy to right? BLAH!

  • So close

I think I failed the run portion of my physical exam by mere seconds. I did really well on my push ups and sit ups. I just got over confident and burned myself out during the first 400 meters of the run. I gotta learn to pace myself on running. I hope I can take another physical exam this week and I know for sure I'll pass.

  • Another Physical Evaluation

Awwwwwwww man. I really don't like to run outside in 50 below weather.

  • To my good friend Luke,

Goodbye to you my best friend in North Country.
You couldn't shoot, so by chance we were able to meet each other in job training,
When we had the weekends off from school I remember, me, you, and Dennis would hang out,
Normally we'd go to the mall and eat at a Korean restaurant when I was able to,
    Because I couldn't run,
And by luck we were able to be stationed at the same place,
And when we had our weekends off from our respective workplaces we'd just do what we normally did,
Hang out at the mall, eat somewhere, talk, and joke about silly things,
You left overseas and came back then I left and now you're gone again,
I wish I wish I could have seen you on your last night here to wish you well and to see you off,
But alas it was not so,
So it's my dearest wish that you'll read this poem of mine and appreciate the friendship we have,
I hope the best of luck to you and to whatever you do when you get out,

    Your friend, the Rat.

  • Man what a nice week last week was:

Monday: I went to the Baseball Hall of Fame museum as part of my unit Chaplain's soldier legacy tour. Coopers town, NY was a nice place. And the museum had a large amount of information on baseball. I noticed that  some Astros like Nolan Ryan,  Craig Biggio(sp), and some other Astros made some records such as strike outs and hits. But they never won a world series. Anyways we as in the group spent the night at a Best Western Inn. It was alright. I really enjoyed watching the football game which was an amazing  contest  between  the Vikings vs. the Saints.

Tuesday: We went to the Howe's cavern. It was pretty cool. A cavern is just a chuck of earth being formed by water. After that I fell asleep.

Wednesday: I helped my friend move because he changing job careers.

Thursday: I don't remember what I did this day.

Friday: I went to a dinner theater with some friends. We watched a comedy
called Murderers by Jeffrey Hatcher. The comedy was a monologue or
single person telling a story. The story was about two women who are
murders. It was pretty funny and thought provoking.

Saturday: I went to watch the movie Body of Lies with some friends. The movie was pretty good.

    Sunday: School

Monday: I just hung out some friends

  • Explanations

    You're
proving my point you don't know much about football. Reggie Bush is a
terrible running back. He's a good receiver (which is what the Saints
are using him for now), but a horrible running back.

Did you watch the game between the Vikings and Saints? It was an incredible game. Reggie Bush got 3 TDs that game man. Bush could not make the kicker any better.

    Btw, Vince
Young hasn't done shit for his team. The Texans are one of the best
defensive teams in the league and their 5-0 w/o VY. I'm not sure how
well the Saints are doing...but they already had a great running back
in Deuce Mcallister, which explains why Reggie Bush isn't a total bust.

I'm sure you meant The Titans. Vince Young got the Titans to the playoffs last year. And the only reason why the Saints lost on Monday was because their kicker missed two field goals.

Btw II, a couple of years ago the Texans wanted to draft Adrian
Peterson (fucking awesome running back) but another team drafted him
right before they could. The Texans could've won the last game, but the
Sage Rosenfel fucked it up in the end. The Colts scored 21 point in two
minutes to win the game, which is like a miracle and rarely ever
    happens.

You say Sage Rosenfel fucked it up, but it wasn't just him. The defense couldn't hold back the Colts either.

Btw III, the Saints are 2-3, not much better than the
Texans. They got owned by the Vikings last week and the Vikings isn't a
    good team
    .

Anythings better then 0-5 man. The Vikings are actually a pretty damm good team. In fact the team made trades and stuff during the off season to become Superbowl contenders.

  • What is football?

Let me ask you something. Is football a team based sport or an individual sport?  Just because Mario Williams is more productive then Vince (I made a typo earlier.) Young and Reggie Bush doesn't mean he makes the team better. You heard that term defensive wins championships right? Well you can't win a championship if you can't get to the championship by not winning games. Look I'm not saying Mario Williams sucks, rather the Texans could have done better with a running QB rather then a pocket QB due to the Texans having a crappy O-line. And don't get me wrong Matt Schaub is a good QB as well, but unless the Texans improve their O-line and their defensive secondaries they are going to suck. And that's the whole point of my last post. And there is some hope that the Texans will get better. The only Albi the Texans have is hurricane Ike. I don't think the Texans are going to improve from last year. And you know what I hate: When people say oh the team could have gotten somewhere if they didn't have injuries. Player injuries are the team's responsibility.
